Abstract

Deep processing of agricultural products is an important direction for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan and for increasing the value added of agricultural raw materials. The study is based on the analysis of official statistical data from the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan and employs comparative and structural analysis methods. The results demonstrate that Kazakhstan possesses significant raw-material potential, particularly in the production of cereals, oilseeds, and livestock products. At the same time, an insufficient depth of processing has been identified for a number of commodity groups. Promising areas for the development of processing industries include the production of starch products, vegetable oils, dairy products, and fruit and vegetable products.
