		<Abstract>This study aimed to provide the first floristic checklist from Sorkhabad Protected Area in Zanjan Province, Northwest Iran. This area is one of the large protected areas in the Irano-Anatolian global biodiversity hotspot. This study was conducted based on the extensive field surveys during the growing season from 2019 to 2021. Our results documented 523 taxa of vascular plants belonging to 290 genera and 70 families. The most prominent families are Asteraceae (44 genera, 66 species), Brassicaceae (24 genera, 36 species), Poaceae (21 genera, 38 species) and Fabaceae (17 genera, 44 species). The richest genera are &lt;em&gt;Astragalus &lt;/em&gt;L&lt;em&gt;.&lt;/em&gt; (19 species), &lt;em&gt;Bromus &lt;/em&gt;L&lt;em&gt;., Papaver &lt;/em&gt;L&lt;em&gt;.&lt;/em&gt;, &lt;em&gt;Salvia &lt;/em&gt;L&lt;em&gt;.&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;Silene &lt;/em&gt;L&lt;em&gt;.&lt;/em&gt; (each with 7 species), &lt;em&gt;Allium&lt;/em&gt; L., &lt;em&gt;Centaurea&lt;/em&gt; L., and &lt;em&gt;Glaucium&lt;/em&gt; Mill. (each with 6 species). Hemicryptophytes (218 taxa, 42%) are the most dominant life form followed by therophytes (162 taxa, 31%), and Irano-Turanian elements (296 taxa, 57%) are the most common plants. Current results provide baseline data for future studies, such as conservation, and phytogeography.</Abstract>
