A total of 100 obese healthy volunteers, aged 25-60 years, were involved in this study. Their body mass index was calculated. Subjects submit to blood tests, including measurements of vitamin D (25-OH) level and lipid profile in addition to Rapid Anti H. pylori. Results revealed that there was no statistical difference in mean vitamin D level between individuals with and without H. pylori after age analysis and sufficient vitamin D levels significantly related to decrease in H.pylori infection. In H .pylori-positive patients vitamin D levels were lower than those in H .pylori-negative patients.
